As we’ve discussed in previous posts, by default, WordPress treats your website as a ‘blog’ and displays your most recent post entries on the front page, unless you specify a page as your main page.

In a separate article, we also discussed how to create a WordPress blog page to show your latest blog posts.
Regardless of your choice to have blog post entries on your main page or your blog page, you can specify the number of blog post entries to show on these pages (i.e. ‘1’, ’4’, ’15’ etc.)
Your site will then display blog post entries on your blog page up to the maximum number of blog posts you have specified, even if your web site contains more posts than the number of posts set to display …

The ability to set the number of blog posts will display on your site is useful.
For example, you can set your blog to display only the most recent post item you have published. This is handy, if, for example, you promote a weekly special, a ‘deal of the day’ type of offer, publish the latest results of your sports team, post upcoming events, set up a weekly office page for announcements, etc.
You can also use this feature to fill an ugly space on your blog if your sidebar menu is too long …

Whatever the reason may be, WordPress gives you the flexibility to specify the number of posts that you want to show on your blog page.
In this step-by-step tutorial, you are going to learn how easy it is to set how many blog posts you want to show up on your site’s blog page.
Specifying The Number Of Post Entries Displayed On Your WordPress Blog Page
