WordPress Traffic Automation Blueprint – Overview
Web traffic is the lifeblood of almost every business online.
Knowing how to drive new traffic to your website is vital to growing a successful business presence online. Lack of web traffic is also one of the most common complaints made by website owners everywhere.
Why Are So Many Businesses Having Difficulty Bringing More Traffic To Their Websites?
Type any of the following searches into Google …
- “attract traffic to your web site”
- “drive more web traffic to my web site”
- “need to get web visitors”
- “ideas to increase website visitors using LinkedIn”
- “attract more targeted buyers to your web site for free”
… and you will be presented with an overwhelming number of sites that contain tips, tricks, and information on strategies to get more traffic to your website …

(There are loads of strategies to drive more web traffic to your site. This article series will show you how to set up a system to take advantage of many of these traffic generation methods!)
There is clearly no shortage of ways to drive more visitors to your site. There are thousands of courses and free information online that can show you methods to drive more traffic to your site.
The problem is often more to do with businesses not investing enough time into learning how to generate new traffic sustainably, not setting up systems to manage the traffic generation process effectively, and, in many cases, not even being aware that there are ways to configure your site to automate and leverage your web traffic generation.
The diagram below shows the approach most small businesses take when it comes to generating traffic to their sites …

(This is how many businesses approach traffic generation)
Essentially, the approach most small businesses typically take is this: first, you build a website, and then you figure out how to drive traffic to the site.
As we will show you in a moment, there is a better way.

You shouldn’t make the mistake of thinking that “outsourcing” your traffic generation will take care of the problem.
Outsourcing is useful if you have great systems in place to manage your traffic generation activities. If not, all you will probably do is end up spending a lot of your valuable time and money looking for a profitable method that can consistently deliver you a positive ROI.

(Without a solid foundation and the right systems in place, online traffic generation can become a costly activity!)
Driving more web traffic sustainably requires laying a solid foundation online, implementing proper systems, continually testing variables in your campaigns, experimenting with different services, tracking results, measuring ROI across different traffic generation methods, etc.
Is There A Simpler, Automated Way To Get More Web Visitors?
Imagine if you owned a web site where all you had to do to deliver targeted traffic to your web site was to regularly add great content to your website or blog.
This is not science fiction … it’s a fact! In fact, many website owners are currently doing what we’ve described above … and so can you!
In the Website Traffic Blueprint article series, you will discover how to create an automated traffic machine that can begin attracting a stream of new targeted traffic to your web site, simply by adding regular content to your site.
How To Set Up A System That Will Automatically Bring Traffic To Your Website
As you can see in the diagram below, the web traffic method we present in this article series involves 3 fundamental steps:
- Set up systems to lay down a solid foundation for driving sustainable traffic
- Add content on a regular basis to start bringing visitors and generating traffic data
- Start testing other traffic strategies

(To generate sustainable web traffic, you need to first put in the right systems)
Right now, we’re mostly concerned with Step 1. The purpose of this article series is to provide an overview of a traffic generation system that will ultimately help you:
- Save time using leverage and automation
- Save money in lots of different ways
- Automatically get your website content indexed faster in search engines
- Instantly notify and publicize your content to all of your social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Gain valuable insights about your traffic generation campaigns, track results, measure ROI, etc.
- Outsource traffic generation while maintaining full control of the process
- Grow your business online cost-effectively and sustainably
You can achieve all of the above using what we will refer to throughout our article series as an “expertly configured” WordPress site …

(With an expertly configured WordPress site, you simply add content and your site then does the rest, informing the world about your content and bringing you back web traffic!)
What Is An Expertly Configured WordPress Web Site?
An expertly configured WordPress web site is different than a professionally-configured WordPress site.
An ”expertly configured” WordPress blog is a web site that is not only driven by WordPress, but has also been expertly set up and configured (either by yourself or professionally) to take advantage of the enormous power, features and built-in functionality of WordPress and its integration with various sites, specifically in areas like SEO, external site notification, and analytics.
Why Do I Need An Expertly Configured WordPress-Powered Website?
We have published many great blog posts on this site about the benefits of using the WordPress platform to grow your business online.
Understanding why and how an “expertly configured” WordPress website can be used to set up an automated traffic system requires several article installments, which is why we recommend that you spend some time reading our posts and consider subscribing to our site (this way, you will be informed whenever a new article gets published).
Let’s start by addressing a couple of basic questions:
Why does it need to be WordPress? What does WordPress offer that other web platforms don’t?
Take a look at the illustration below …

(Static Website vs Expertly Configured WordPress Site)
Many sites are traditionally built using applications that create websites with “static” web pages. Essentially, what this means is that the web content mostly sits inside a server waiting to be found. On its own, a static website doesn’t communicate with anyone outside the platform; it doesn’t send out signals to anybody in cyberspace or inform any other site when new content has recently been published to your site.
Think about it … if in a traditional website, your content just sits in a server passively waiting to be found, then you have to constantly promote your web presence and your content to keep driving new visitors.
WordPress is different!
The WordPress CMS software comes with default functionality that allows you to set up, easily configure and build an automated “web traffic generation” machine, where all you then need to do is publish content and WordPress does the rest, instantly notifying various online properties about your new content to start bringing you more web site traffic …

(With an expertly configured WordPress site, you just post new content and WordPress then does the rest, notifying other sites about your content and bringing you back traffic!)
An Automated Content Distribution, Traffic And Lead Generation, And Sales & Marketing System
With an expertly configured WordPress site, you can build more than just a website for your business … you can set up an automated traffic and lead generation and sales & marketing system, where all you do is publish your content and WordPress then automates the rest …

(Set up an automated content distribution, lead and traffic generation, and sales and marketing system with WordPress)
As your business evolves, you can add more functionality and automate processes like:
- Sell products and services with e-commerce,
- Capture leads with opt-in forms and add your subscribers to newsletters and autoresponders,
- Allow visitors to register on your site with different membership levels,
- And so much more!
You can do all of this using inexpensive WordPress plugins. Once these plugins are installed and configured on your site, just direct your visitors to the appropriate sections (e.g. your store, subscription forms, membership area, etc.)
The video below shows you what an expertly configured WordPress site can do for your business …
In Part Two of The Web Traffic Blueprint overview, we go over the components of this automated online traffic machine:
- Setup – Learn the best way to get started if you don’t have a website yet, or if you already have an existing site that may or may not have been built using WordPress.
- Configure – WordPress already comes with a number of built-in features and settings to help you generate traffic. Learn what features and settings need to be configured for optimal results.
- Automate – Your traffic machine requires not only expert configuration of internal WordPress settings but also an integration of your built-in WordPress features with third-party services and other web properties (e.g. webmaster, analytics, and social media accounts).
- Publicize – Once your site settings have been configured and integrated with various third-party sites, you simply begin to publish new content consistently and WordPress will immediately notify and inform search engines, your social media accounts and other online properties about the new content, giving your site wider exposure online to new visitors.
- Optimize – We recommend starting with a content-based strategy to build traffic sustainably. With the right systems in place, you can then begin to track and analyze your incoming traffic and gather valuable data that will allow you to make intelligent and cost-effective decisions when using additional traffic generation strategies.
